Rev. Paris White
Pastor
Rev. Paris White joined the Faith family in August of 2023. Pastor Paris grew up in the area and graduated from Muscatine High School before going to Wartburg College to study Psychology and Religion. After graduation, she went straight to Wartburg Seminary and was ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELCA) in 2019 and now holds dual standing with the UCC. From 2019-2022 she served her first congregation in Lisbon, IA before going back to school for an advanced theological master's degree. At Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, TN, Pastor Paris studied the economic and climate crisis in an effort to dig deeper into the root causes of suffering. She fully believes Christ meant it when he proclaimed that he "came so that all might have life and have it abundantly" (John 10:10). Pastor Paris strives to bring this gospel message of God's life-giving and unconditional love to the people of Faith UCC, this community and beyond. She is fully committed to serving all of God's people and creation.
